Timeline

The Work of 1000 integrates film and Web 2.0 community-building. Our hopes and desires are to motivate people to take on issues that are important to them.

We would like to thank some of the people who have motivated and inspired us.

Nashua River Watershed Association - Founded in 1969, the Nashua River Watershed Association's mission is to work for a healthy ecosystem with clean water and open spaces for human and wildlife communities, where people work together to sustain mutual economic and environmental well-being in the Nashua River watershed.

Dr. Ninian R. Stein is Associate Director of the Environmental Studies Program and Lecturer in the Environmental Earth and Ocean Sciences Department, University of Massachusetts Boston. Her  paper "Factory, Forest, and Farm: Combining Environmental History and Archaeology in New England" is due for publication in Environmental History Fall 2007.
Dr. Neal W. Anderson is a retired Professor of Biology and an expert in wetland boundary delineation; wetland issues; and using wetlands in education.
Neal Menschel,is the director of the photography track at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, ME. As a photojournalist his clients included The New York Times, WGBH-Boston, MIT, Tufts, WBZ, Front Line, and others. He is currently working on a book about families of West Virginia with his writer/radio producer daughter, Molly
Irena Fayngold has worked in documentary production for over 10 years. She produces short videos and web interactives about math and science for the Educational Productions department at WGBH, Boston's public television station. Her film Hineini  has been shown at over 100 community screenings and 35 film festivals on 4 continents.
